Last season we were fortunate to have Newport Cellars on board as a Major Sponsor and club supplier. With an increased commitment to the club for the forthcoming season, Newport Cellars are another company that have recognised the worth in joining with our club. They arrived to the club mid-season last year without any fan-fair or announcement, so at this time I would like to welcome the team at Newport.

Also known as the Celebrations on Mason Street, please make a point of mentioning the club sponsorship if you happen to pop in.

For those of you who didn’t know, the CY’s 10 year Premiership reunion was held on 12th July (as mentioned below). The occasion was at the convienent spot of none other than the Stags Head Hotel. There was a steady flow of past and present players throughout the day and much fun and reflection was had by all.  There was even a appearence by one of the clubs newest members, Slade, who is Danny and Emilys new baby boy.

For all those that came, thanks, the day was a fantastic success, and if you didn’t, well, the proof of success is in the pudding.  Check out the photos below.

Whilst we should all know the coach (Danny Law) and his assistants (Hagga and Wozza), we will be holding a ‘Meet the Coach’ night on Friday July 31^st. Following in the footsteps of last seasons successful night, we will be re-visiting UBrew. An opportunity to brew your own beer and take a slab home, the night will also give all club members a reason to catch up in the off season for what will be an enjoyable evening. To lock in your place please email Hagga at andrew_leetet@toll.com.au . Cost will be same as last year $50 per head. This gets you : beer for the night, BBQ and slab to take home….great value !!

The committee is pleased and proud to announce that we have formed an alliance with Shepparton United Cricket Club. Having been some time in the making, this relationship will offer junior cricketers from the Shepparton region somewhere to play cricket if the move to the big city, whilst also offering a range of long term benefits to both clubs. The relationship starts with immediate effect and I would like to say a big thank you to Stephen Pinnuck and his committee for seeing the mutual benefits possible from such a relationship. We have organised a pre-season weekend in Shepparton taking in 2 games against SUCC, further details will follow for those interested in the weekend away.
