Thursday night the club received the news that Ashleigh Mills has been invited to join the rest of Victoria’s elite, and has been selected into the pre-season training camps for the Vic Spirit Ladies State Squad. Having represented Victoria at Under 15 and Under 19 levels, Ashleigh has been elevated into the senior squad for the pre-season. Known to all around the club as daughter of Glenn (Jika), Ashleigh has played games in the seconds and sub-fielded on a number of occasions for the club. A talented upper order left handed bat / wicketkeeper, and despite her departure to play senior division ladies cricket with Brunswick Park, the whole club is proud to ‘claim’ Ashleigh as one of our own and will certainly be following her future.
