The seconds were unable to defend their total of 181 against a rampant Dane Kerby who battered the CYs attack for 153 not out.

Last week they had not started particularly well finding themselves 2-2 after Bowring (0) and Damo O(1) departed. Only 3 batsmen managed double figures, Damo B and Glenn Mills made 19 (extras were 23) but the days highlight was the clubs first ton for the year. Billy Millar carved up the Youlden Parkville attacked to the tune of 110 not out.

In reply, mainly courtesy of Kerby, Parkville finished 9-294 from 109 overs.

Mills used nine bowlers but none were better than himself (3-43). Six other bowlers (Crumpton, Marcok, Millar, Ashleigh Mills, Hall and Rog) took one wicket each.

Set a task of 345 runs by Pt Cook at the Market, a formidable score, the 3^rd’s were ready to climb that mountain after words of encouragement via a sms text from the Skip, the contents of which shall remain a secret. Final confirmation has been received from Cricket Victoria, and the Milo Program will start this Saturday 27^th October.

Sessions will be held at the CYMS facilities at the Fearon Reserve, Osborne Street Williamstown, they will start at 9.30am and will run for an hour. The Milo registration will be held during the course of Under 11 training this Wednesday from 4.30pm to 6pm at the Fearon, but for those that are unable to make the registration on Wednesday further registration is possible for the next 3 Saturday mornings prior during the sessions.

The cost of Milo participation is $50, this covers the 12 week program, Milo pack and CY’s junior cap.
