The CYs first face a challenging target on day two at Greenvale.
In a sensational start Hags steamed in to open the attack against for CY Tarek Moughanie. A huge appeal was turned down but two balls later T was on his way back to the pavilion caught by Janeka at mid-on.

The Williamstown CYMS Cricket Club is launching Williamstown’s biggest Luncheon, to be held on the Fearon Reserve under a very big marquee!!!!
Through the tremendous support of the Werribee Automotive Group, this year’s lunch will be bigger & better than previous years.
This year the tickets are all inclusive, and we can confirm Sam Kekovich is our very special guest speaker.

CYMS v’s Spotswood
Week 1 – CYMS all out 160 – Spotswood 0/47
Better application with the bat led to the CYs batting for 68 overs and posting 160 runs, both improvements over recent performances. A number of batsmen got starts but were unable to go on to big totals. Brad Davies top scored with 30 not out and Siriwardana (23), Holt and Murray (26) each contributed to a better series of top-order partnerships. Nevertheless there is much work to do and early breakthroughs will be required if 160 is to be defended, especially as Spotswood are away to a good start of 0-47

TrackbackAnother senior cap presentation took place on Saturday at Spotswood prior to the start of the First XI match. Club president Paul Burns enjoyed a long Premier cricket career as an opening batsman for Footscray and then came to the CYs where he helped the club to a drought-breaking flag in the late 90’s. He is seen here presenting new recruit Paul Murray with his CYMS senior XI cap. In a long and successful career, “Netters” has played for Footscray and North Melbourne at Premier cricket level, followed by a stint as coach of Werribee and then Altona in sub-district. He will be a valuable addition to the CYs.

The Williamstown CYMS Cricket Club is proud to again support the VTCA’s “Pink Weekend” initiative by holding a Ladies Lunch on the 25th February.
The cost for the lunch will be $40.00 which includes lunch & drinks.
