The seniors are caught up in a log jam with only a game separating the top 5 sides, proving a top 2 spot will be hard work this year. The reserves have shot a game and fair percentage clear and can hopefully cement a top 2 spot by winning the next couple games. Williamstown CYMS took top spot on the VAFA Sect D2 ladder following a percentage boosting 95 point win over Ivanhoe on the weekend.
The visitors took the game right up to their more fancied rivals in the first half and at the 20 minute mark of the third quarter the mistake riddled CY’s led by one straight kick. However from this point on the game undertook a remarkable turn around as the CY’s kicked the next four goals of the quarter to lead by 32 points at the last change before going on to kick 11 goals to 1 to totally dominate a tiring ‘Hoes’ combination.
